YUMA AIRSHOW SERF SCENARIOS:
Scenario 1
While practicing for the Yuma Airshow 2025 (20,000 in attendance), one F-35B has a mechanical failure and is headed back to the airfield. The plane does not make the runway and the pilot is forced to eject. The plane comes down in the busy intersection of 32nd Street and Pacific Avenue. There were several vehicles near the intersection.
The Yuma Regional Medical Center is already at surge capacity. There are 21 fatalities and 25 critically injured, including 6 AFN students, 15 junior high students, and 4 Tribal residents. The pilot of the F35B successfully ejects from the aircraft and lands near 32nd Street and Avenue 3E.
Scenario 2
While performing during the Yuma Airshow 2025 (20,000 in attendance), one F-35B has had a mechanical failure over the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma. As it approaches the runway from the east, the pilot is forced to eject form the aircraft. The aircraft veers left and lands in base housing striking 4 homes.
The Yuma Regional Medical Center is already at surge capacity. There are 4 fatalities and 14 injuries (Including 2 adults, 8 critically injured children, and two Cocopah Tribal residents). The pilot of the F35B successfully ejects from the aircraft and lands near Avenue 3E and the North Gate.
