ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

Objectives for the Conference will be identified by each speakers and panel by mid November.

Panelists and speakers will examine a broad spectrum of pediatric disaster resilience and lessons learned as gleaned from the Kerrville floodings, Robb Elementary School injury response, Waukesha Christmas Parade attack lessons learned, Tribal Nation incident recovery, and other Mass Casualty/incidents still being confirmed. In addition, speakers will present findings from the two past National Pediatric Disaster Conferences, care for families with children and young adults who have complex medical needs in a disaster, U.S. Supreme Court impacts on pediatric care and emergencies, designer drugs impacting children and youth, priorities for children and adolescents over the next five years, and pediatric disaster recovery resources (including new and existing tools for hospitals).

Each panel will be followed by 30 minutes of audience discussion focused on advancing pediatric preparedness.
